What is a Pop-Up Wedding?

You might have seen the idea of “pop-up” weddings become more frequent in your wedding planning search recently. While a pop-up wedding isn’t for everyone, it’s a great option for those looking for something outside of the box.

I like to think of a pop-up wedding like this: we set up in a location for one day, and multiple couples sign up for the same space. To be clear, you are not getting married with other people. You have your own time-slot and private space. You are however, using the same venue and vendors as the other couples. This makes it more affordable for everyone who books.

Not only do you reap the benefits of a more cost-effective wedding, you also get a fully decorated venue with a specific theme shared with you ahead of time. You’ll be connected with vendors like the officiant and photographer before arriving, so you still get to have a personal experience. Because the date is set in stone, you don’t have to plan for months and months.!

How does a pop-up wedding differ from an elopement? It’s a bit less custom as the vendors and theme are already selected for you. While certain elements are customizable, for the most part, you are paying for a package that is designed with simplicity in mind.

The pop-up wedding vibe is extremely intimate and is best suited for couples who truly just want to celebrate their love with their closest connections.
